This month we look at turnips and rutabagas – two related vegetables that were more popular in the past than today. But, we’re aiming to change that and hope you’ll give them a try!
We’ll also look at sage, a hardy herb related to mint. Sage comes in different colors and can be grown indoors on a kitchen counter.
As always, Let's Talk Vegetables (LTV) will start with information about GrowNYC, our Greenmarket farmers markets, and what is currently in season. We will then focus on this month’s featured vegetable including historical and nutritional information, and trivia.
